Born and raised in Colleyville, Texas, Bobby Witt Jr. grew up in a baseball family and excelled at the sport from an early age.
A highly-touted prospect in high school, he was named the 2019 Gatorade National Male Athlete of the Year before being taken as the #2 overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.
Witt Jr. rose to being the #1 ranked prospect for the Kansas City Royals and the #1 prospect in all of Major League Baseball in 2022 before making his Major League Debut.
In 2023, Witt Jr. became the first Royals player with a 30-30 season (30 home runs and 30 stolen bases). Witt Jr. was named a 2024 MLB All-Star.
